This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian runner presents a disciplined procession of six large hexagonal medallions arranged along a warm ivory field. Alternating grounds of chocolate brown, taupe, and camel give each compartment an individual identity, while maintaining a balanced vertical rhythm. Within the medallions, angular star forms, stepped diamonds, checkerboard devices, and small geometric pendants appear in ivory, pale blue, soft pink, rust, tan, and dark brown. Tiny linking motifs connect the principal forms along the central axis, reinforcing the runner’s elongated structure. A narrow dark brown border, edged with repeating triangular serrations, frames the composition with crisp graphic definition. The limited earthy palette and bold geometric drawing reflect the expressive vocabulary of Anatolian village weaving, while the open spacing lends the piece a distinctly modern character. Its measured repetition and architectural proportions create a strong decorative presence in both traditional and contemporary interiors alike.
