THE ARTIST: Austreberto Morales Ramírez (Signed A. Morales R. on the lower right front and noted on the backing) was born on August 24, 1932, in Cuitzeo, Michoacán. Morales was a highly accomplished 20th-century Mexican painter. He studied at the prestigious Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City and trained under celebrated master artists, including Luis Nishizawa.
Following his first solo show in 1960, his work was widely exhibited across major Mexican cities (such as Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Acapulco) as well as international art hubs in California (Beverly Hills, Hollywood, San Francisco) and Spain (Madrid and Seville).
