This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian runner presents a bold pictorial composition across a rich brick-red field. A stylized human figure occupies the center, shown with one arm raised and holding an elongated object, while two pale, angular trees appear above and below. Small quartered diamond motifs punctuate the field and reinforce the strong vertical arrangement. The principal panel is enclosed by stepped niches and narrow serrated guards in orange, brown, ivory, and muted green. A broad ivory border carries a lively procession of multicolored geometric emblems in violet, coral, ochre, red, brown, and black, creating a rhythmic contrast with the open central ground. Dark brown end panels and striped finishes provide architectural definition. The combination of figurative imagery, simplified tribal drawing, and saturated color gives the runner a distinctive folk-art character rooted in Anatolian village weaving traditions and makes it a compelling decorative focal point.
