Crafted in 18K yellow gold, the earrings feature two generously proportioned oval faceted amethysts weighing approximately 20 carats combined.
Each amethyst is framed by sculptural gold scrolls, curling leaves and delicately engraved details. Open-backed settings allow light to pass through the stones, revealing luminous shades of violet and softer lilac. The romantic foliate ornament reflects the Rococo Revival influence seen in English Victorian jewelry of the period.
Weighing 7.5 grams, the earrings have a noticeable presence while remaining graceful and wearable. They are finished with wire hook fittings for pierced ears, which may be later adaptations.
