This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian runner presents a bold allover grid of compact comb-like motifs arranged in alternating rows across a warm golden-yellow field. Rendered in deep brown and bright turquoise, the repeated devices create a lively checkerboard rhythm that extends continuously from end to end. Their simplified, almost typographic geometry gives the composition a distinctly modern character, while the handwoven structure preserves the directness and individuality associated with Anatolian village weaving. The absence of a central medallion or enclosing border allows the pattern to remain open, uniform, and strongly architectural. Subtle irregularities in spacing lend movement to the otherwise disciplined arrangement and soften the contrast between the cool blue-green accents and the earthy ground. Its elongated proportions make it especially well suited to a hallway, gallery, corridor, or alongside a long console, where the repeated pattern can introduce color, order, and bold graphic energy.
