Executed as a color … Read more Description: Vintage Swedish aviation exhibition poster titled ILIS-FLYG, designed by Jerk Werkmäster (Swedish, 1896-1978), circa 1930s. Executed as a color lithograph, the poster features a dynamic Art Deco–influenced depiction of a streamlined propeller aircraft against a vivid yellow background. The Swedish text advertises a speed of “700 km/tim” and “Världens största flygmotor 3000 hkr,” translating to “The world’s largest aircraft engine, 3,000 horsepower.” A striking example of early 20th-century Swedish aviation advertising and Scandinavian graphic design.
