It is called a Persian hunting rug and they are often done with various animal motifs. It is a very soft wool and in a fun shades of tan and khaki with black outlines and wide figurative bright eyes and white, tan and black accents on the face. This rug would look very fun laid down under an accent chair or table at an angle for a focal point in any room. Such a fun and interesting rug. It is in excellent vintage condition.
