Artist’s Statement: I am continuously exploring and experimenting in my art! Creativity is my long suit. I have no fear! I only paint for myself. It is just a piece of paper, I tell myself. It is a CANVAS THAT CAN BE REPAINTED AGAIN AND AGAIN - and it will get better! And it does. I allow mistakes!

I love painting in series, to ever get deeper into the subject. I have painted up to 60 versions of the same still life set-up, emphasizing color, value, size, direction, shape, line, etc. in various versions. Currently most of my work is abstract.

My favorite artists are Matisse and Picasso. They continued to experiment and try new methods and medias throughout their lives, and I am inspired to do the same - keep it fresh! Keep it new! Doing ceramic wall pieces is next. See less
