Oscar Bach attributed gilded iron demilune console and mirror with a black marble top, c. 1920. A boldly sculptural set with a white and gold veined Nero Portoro marble top above a filigreed frieze adorned with draping swags and floral vines on the sides, raised on four curved legs with scrolling rope twists, acanthus leaf and two amber cut glass finials with a central floral bouquet on the curvaceous stretcher ending in upturned, scroll feet. The arched mirror continues in this manner with beveled panels following the frame's shape and is topped with an amber glass gem.
An exceptional work of artistry emanating grace and drama with masterfully executed hand-forged ironwork and meticulous attention to detail.
