Add a touch of old-world elegance to your desk or mantel with this beautifully crafted vintage diptych (double-folding) tabletop picture frame.
The frame features an architectural arched silhouette reminiscent of classic cathedral panels. The face of each panel is clad in a richly figured burl wood veneer, showing off an intricate, swirling honey-toned grain pattern. This vibrant wood is elegantly framed by a multi-layered geometric marquetry border, highlighted by fine linear stringing and finished with a dark, contrasting crossbanded edge. The two panels fold together smoothly on original brass-toned hinges. It includes both original glass inserts.
The reverse sides of the panels are finished with a soft, protective brown flocked/felt backing to prevent scratching on tabletops or delicate wood surfaces.
