My parents commissioned this striking matched pair of rosewood apothecary chests while visiting Hong Kong in 1980. Each compact chest combines 5 drawers accented by traditional brass drop hardware and beautifully figured burl-style drawer panels. Approximately 25" W × 16" D × 23" H each.
They feature true craftsman mitered fits and finished beautiful rosewood burl, with authentic floating top design. These are gorgeous pieces.
Note, one original matching brass pull has been located and will be reinstalled before sale” so the photographed missing a pull does’t create concern.
The scale is small enough for modern homes and the storage configuration is genuinely unusual. The rich rosewood finish and clean design complement any mid-century design.
