The softly scalloped form is framed by a rich deep green border, intricately detailed with hand-finished accents in coral, cobalt blue, blush pink, soft yellow, and gilt tones.

The central composition is especially striking, depicting colorful birds among oversized blossoms and delicate foliage—a wonderful example of the East Asian-inspired decorative motifs that became so desirable in English ceramics. Alternating floral reserves and richly patterned green panels continue around the interior and exterior, giving the piece exceptional visual interest from every angle.

The underside bears an Ironstone China maker’s backstamp with the British royal coat-of-arms motif, along with additional impressed marks.
