A substantial La Salle desk by Restoration Hardware, inspired by the clean proportions and utilitarian character of 1940s industrial furniture. The wood structure is wrapped in antiqued sheet metal with a zinc finish and fitted with seven drawers and restrained iron pulls.
At 70 inches wide, the desk has considerable architectural presence without excess ornament. The subtly mottled metal finish lends depth and quiet authority, making it particularly suited to a sophisticated home office, library, loft, or modern interior.
