This is a mid-to-late 20th-century Chinese export porcelain decorative plate made in Macau, featuring a coral/salmon glaze and polychrome enamel decoration.
Artistic Motif
Theme: Depicts the classic Chinese "Boys at Play" (Baizi Tu) design, a traditional symbol of prosperity, happiness, and good fortune.
Imagery: The young children are depicted enjoying music and nature, playing traditional instruments (such as a sheng reed pipe, pipa lute, and dizi bamboo flute) while holding flowers and decorative branches.
Marks & Origin
Red Seal Mark: Displays a four-character seal script (Zhuanshu) mark reading 乾隆年制 (Qianlong Nian Zhi), which translates to "Made in the Qianlong Reign."
Age Reality: This is an apocryphal mark honorific of the Qianlong Period (1736–1795) and does not mean the piece is from the 18th century. It was standard practice for mid-to-late 20th-century porcelain workshops to stamp this mark on decorative wares.
Anonymous Artisans: They were painted by teams of skilled, anonymous workshop artisans using traditional pattern books rather than signed by an independent solo artist.
