A charming Herend porcelain goose figurine from the celebrated fishnet (Vieux Herend) series, marked First Edition.
The bird stands with wings raised in a lively pose, its body covered in the classic green scale pattern against a white ground, with soft blue wings finely detailed in black. The beak and foot tips are finished in gold.
This is model 15588, a popular small open-wing goose form that collectors prize for its animated stance and the meticulous hand-painting that defines Herend’s animal figures. The underside bears the blue Herend shield mark with crown, “FIRST EDITION,” the pattern number 15588-0-00/SVHV, date code J 98, and painter number 219.
