Here is a beautifully framed vintage print after Marc Chagall’s celebrated 1961 Vitraux pour Jérusalem exhibition poster, created for the Musée des Arts Décoratifs at the Palais du Louvre in Paris. The composition features the Tribe of Benjamin window from Chagall’s series of twelve stained-glass windows created for the Hadassah Medical Center synagogue in Jerusalem.
The original 1961 exhibition poster was produced by Mourlot in Paris, with the lithographic interpretation by Charles Sorlier after Chagall’s design. This reduced-format vintage print faithfully reproduces the complete exhibition poster, including the original typography, museum information, “Ch. Sorlier Grav. Lith.” attribution and Mourlot credit.
I especially love the vivid yellow ground and jewel-like colors of the imagery against the black border. The print is beautifully presented in a lovely vintage frame with a linen-textured surround and black detailing.
Printed sheet measures approximately 9.75" × 13.25". It remains securely mounted within its existing framing.
