A striking oversized contemporary dining or conference table featuring an exceptionally substantial 8-foot by 4-foot glass top resting upon a pair of sculptural architectural metal bases.
The dramatic bases are constructed of heavy steel with a dark charcoal/black finish and feature intersecting geometric forms that create a strong architectural presence from every angle. Substantial mounting plates and precision hardware support the extraordinarily thick glass top, giving the table an impressive combination of visual lightness and considerable physical presence.
The glass measures approximately 1”–1.25” thick, with beautifully polished edges. At 96” long by 48” wide, the generous proportions comfortably accommodate approximately 8–10 people and make this an exceptional statement piece for a large dining room, contemporary residence, executive office, conference room, or design-forward commercial space.
The juxtaposition of the transparent monumental glass top with the sculptural dark metal bases gives the piece a sophisticated Modernist / Contemporary architectural aesthetic. Its clean geometry allows it to work particularly well alongside contemporary, postmodern, industrial, and minimalist interiors.
The table is exceptionally substantial and beautifully constructed. No manufacturer’s markings have been located, and the designer/maker is presently unknown.
Condition: Very good pre-owned condition with light surface wear consistent with age and normal use. Please review photographs for additional condition details.
