The lidded vessel features an ivory ground decorated with an elegant Japanese-inspired landscape incorporating cranes, a pavilion, flowering grasses, clouds, a folding fan, and flowing ribbon motifs. Fine linear detailing in muted taupe, rust, green, gray, and red gives the piece a sophisticated graphic quality. The design is completed with an artist-style signature and red seal incorporated into the decoration. Marked Sen-Su for The Maldon Group on the underside and retaining its original Canadian retailer label. A refined decorative jar blending traditional Asian motifs with late-20th-century design.
