Vintage handwoven Turkish kilim featuring a rich terracotta-red field with a striking arrangement of geometric medallions and traditional Anatolian-inspired motifs.
The rug is woven in a classic flatweave technique and displays a wonderfully warm, earthy palette of brick red, rust, muted sage green, blue-green, ochre, ivory, brown and charcoal. Multiple intricately patterned borders frame the central field, giving the piece a strong architectural quality.
The handwoven construction creates subtle variations in color, weave and pattern that give this kilim its distinctive character. Its generous size and graphic design make it equally suited to a living room, dining room, bedroom, library or layered rug setting. It could also make an impressive large-scale textile wall hanging.
