This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian long runner presents a continuous arrangement of narrow horizontal stripes extending from end to end. Closely spaced bands in muted red, rose, coral, pale blue, sage green, olive, tan, brown, ivory, black, and soft lavender create a richly varied yet balanced surface. The stripes shift subtly in width and color intensity, producing a gentle visual rhythm across the exceptional length. With no central medallion or enclosing border, the composition emphasizes repetition, proportion, and the expressive character of hand weaving. The broad spectrum of subdued tones gives the runner a versatile decorative presence, while its linear design lends it an unexpectedly modern sensibility rooted in Anatolian textile traditions. Exceptionally long and narrow, it is particularly well suited to a grand hallway, gallery, corridor, or extended passage, where the uninterrupted bands can reinforce the architecture and introduce warmth, movement, and understated color throughout.
