She received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin … Read more Linda Plotkin (b.1938 Milwaukee, WI) is an American printmaker and painter. She received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and her M.F.A. from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Theframed and matted original etching is pencil signed Plotkin, and numbered 33/45. The print is titled "April Mt". The frame measures 11.5" x 14.5", the plate impression measures 3 7/8" x 4 1/4". The etching is in excellent, undamaged condition. The lower left corner of the glass has a small internal chip, not felt from the outside of the glass, indicated in last photo.

About the Artist
Plotkin has worked in all the intaglio processes as well as lithography, monotype, serigraphy, and woodcut. Additionally, she has worked in oil painting, watercolor, and has published original artworks in several books, individually and collaboratively. Her online resume lists sixteen solo exhibitions held between 1979 and 2016, as well as numerous group exhibitions.

Plotkin’s work is represented in numerous corporate collections and the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, New York; the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art; the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Wisconsin; the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, New York; la Bibliothèque nationale de France, Paris; the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania; the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.; and the Worcester Art Museum, Massachusetts. She continues to live and work in New York. See less
