This minimalist swivel chair, "Ama-Elastik," dates back to the 1950s and served for many years in an architect's office.
Manufactured as model variant 364 by Albert Menger A.G. (a specialist manufacturer of swivel chairs, Stoffelsmühle near Kronach, Bavaria).
The design is based on the typical, minimalist Bauhaus aesthetic.
The anatomically shaped seat and the movable backrest of the "Ama Elastik" are height-adjustable. The backrest can also be moved forward or backward, thus varying the seat depth.
The seat height is adjustable from 43 to 47 cm.
The seat, legs, and backrest are made of honey-colored beechwood or molded plywood, while the frame is made of metal.
The Bakelite locking screw of the backrest is marked: "Ama-Elastik Eingetr. Warenz. D.G.M."
It has been cleaned and is in excellent vintage condition! This piece has an attribution mark,
I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
