This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian long runner presents a restrained sequence of geometric medallions across a pale sand and warm beige field. Alternating cruciform and octagonal forms create a measured vertical rhythm, each articulated with stepped outlines, angular hooks, small lozenges, and stylized floral devices in muted brown, ivory, taupe, and soft blush. Compact secondary motifs, including tiny crosses, paired hooks, and interlaced knot-like emblems, punctuate the open spaces between the larger forms. Faint diagonal divisions organize the field into compartments, while narrow patterned bands at the ends provide a subtle architectural finish. The limited palette and spacious drawing lend the runner an understated, almost modern character, while its symbolic geometry remains rooted in Anatolian village weaving traditions. Exceptionally long and narrow, it is well suited to a grand hallway, gallery, or extended corridor, where its repeated forms establish calm continuity and quiet decorative structure.
