This painting features a boy or man tending a bird in a cage in a fantasy landscape. The painting resembles Chinese wallpaper paintings or canton export. The paper appears to be laid paper and it feels more European so we are leaning towards French in Chinese taste, or possibly copying a Chinese design for sale. The painting and paper appear to be 19th century, we are really not 100% certain. From a wealthy VT estate. We have two similar paintings from the same estate.

Condition: Good condition with some surface wear.
