Made by a French maker from solid cast bronze, the sconces combine decorative presence with practical wall lighting.
Each sconce features a classical torch-form center surrounded by finely cast floral garlands, laurel leaves, beaded borders and scrolling details. Two gracefully curved arms extend from each fixture, creating a symmetrical silhouette characteristic of French neoclassical design.
The solid bronze has a warm antique finish with subtle surface variation and patina, emphasizing the depth of the casting while giving the pair an attractive vintage appearance.
Each sconce has two light points, for a total of four sockets across the pair. They have recently been rewired and are fitted with E14 sockets suitable for compatible incandescent or LED bulbs.
