Japanese Kutani porcelain ginger jar lamp, c.1950’s
The jar is hand painted with chrysanthemums and peonies which are symbols of longevity and wealth in Japanese culture. Having a distinct coral red color with gold leaf accents outlining the leaves and petals. Standing on a carved wooden base. At some point converted into a lamp. Recently fully re-wired and in working order. Good overall condition with surface age wear. Height to top of jar 7.25”
