Inspired by the beloved ballet, the figural group depicts an elegantly posed ballerina alongside a young toy soldier in a vibrant blue military uniform. Beautifully modeled details include the ballerina’s delicate tutu and ballet slippers, the soldier’s tall plumed hat and sword, and an architectural pedestal accented with softly colored foliage.

The sculpture showcases Lladró’s signature glazed porcelain finish and delicate pastel palette, with particularly striking cobalt blue, soft pink, lavender and pale green accents.

Introduced in 1993 and retired in 1998, “Nutcracker Suite” was produced for a relatively short period and has become a desirable retired Lladró design. The underside bears the blue Lladró Hand Made in Spain factory mark and DAISA 1992 copyright.

A wonderful statement piece for a Lladró collection and especially appealing for collectors of ballet, dance and performing-arts decor.

Condition:
