This gorgeous pair of large antique HB Quimper Fleur de Lys vases is the perfect addition to any French faience collection or to your French inspired decor. One vase has a finely painted Bretonne with a wool spindle and the other a Breton holding an infant. The arms of the fleur de lys are handpainted with colorful floral decor, the stem is adorned with stylized acanthus and geometric borders, and the center foot is highlighted with the blason of Brittany. The bottoms have the HB mark of the Hubaudiere Grand Maison factory in Quimper, indicating their production is C. 1883 - 1903.
The vases are in very good antique condition with minor glaze flakes, wear, and a 0.75" chip on the reverse of one vase and minor glaze flakes and wear on the other. See photos
