A rare and exceptional Edmond J. Spence buffet/credenza from the celebrated "Coronation" line, dating to the 1950s. This remarkable casepiece was sourced directly from the original owner's estate and showcases Spence’s distinctive approach to Mid-Century Modern design, combining architectural form, sculptural elements, and refined craftsmanship.
The cabinet features a beautifully crafted oak frame accented with rich burlwood and walnut detailing, creating a sophisticated contrast of natural grain patterns and warm tones. The front design consists of three doors that open to reveal a highly functional interior. The left compartment houses four smoothly operating drawers, while the right compartment opens to two spacious shelves, offering versatile storage for dining essentials, barware, media components, or collectibles.
The defining feature of this piece is its extraordinary sculptural leg design, which elevates the credenza into a true statement piece. The organic, architectural silhouette of the base reflects Edmond J. Spence’s innovative design language and makes this example especially desirable for collectors of rare Mid-Century Modern furniture.
Perfectly suited for sophisticated interiors including Mid-Century Modern, Modernist, Scandinavian, Organic Modern, Contemporary, and Transitional spaces.

Dimensions:
Width: 63"
Depth: 17.75"
Height: 36.75"
Condition:
Overall excellent professionally refinished condition. The piece has been carefully restored while preserving its original character and exceptional wood detailing. Please note: when closing the doors on the right side, there is a slight alignment imbalance that requires a small wiggle for the doors to close smoothly. This can easily be managed by pushing both doors inward simultaneously or by closing the left door section first, followed by the right. This minor functional characteristic is consistent with vintage case furniture and does not detract from the overall beauty, quality, or usability of the piece.
