A French pine side table dating from the late 19th century, circa 1870–1900.
Made from solid pine, the table has a square top, four straight legs and a single drawer fitted with an old metal cup pull. Its simple construction reflects the practical furniture made for everyday use in provincial France during this period.
The table is suitable as a side table, bedside table, lamp table or small desk.
It is in good antique condition with the wear expected for its age. The pine shows surface marks, scratches and small knocks acquired over many years of use. The table is solid and stable, and the drawer opens and closes well.
