The body is richly textured with hand-worked diamond-patterned scales, while the hinged lid is crowned by an elegantly stylized pineapple leaf finial in patinated metal, lending the piece an architectural silhouette. Combining playful sophistication with refined Italian craftsmanship, this ice bucket embodies the glamour of 1960s barware. Both functional and highly decorative, it serves equally well as a centerpiece for a bar cart or dining table, reflecting the era's fascination with organic forms and luxurious entertaining. While this piece is similar to those of Mauro Manetti it is not the same. This particular sample is quite a bit larger in size and has a more natural feel to it's design. The insulated interior is designed to keep ice chilled while adding a beautiful contrast to the silver-plated exterior. A rare and collectible example of Italian decorative metalwork from the mid-century period. Condition Very good vintage condition with light wear and patina consistent with age and use. Minor surface marks to the silver plating and interior, preserving the authentic character of the piece. See less
