The vases have tall flared forms with shaped rims and are decorated with stylised floral panels, basket motifs and traditional cobalt-blue ornament.

Both vases are marked underneath with the Royal Delft factory mark and date 1916. The painter’s mark corresponds to L.G.N. ten Dam, who worked at De Porceleyne Fles from 1890 to 1919. The pair is in good antique condition overall, with fine age-related crazing to the glaze. One vase has a small chip to the rim and a short hairline, as shown in the photographs.
