This landscape painting of a small stream surrounded on both banks by snowy trees is very well painted and quite luminous. The painting style is very similar to the Albany area artist Walter Launt Palmer. The painting is signed lower right GYKauffman for American Painter George Young Kauffman, this painting was most likely painted while he was in Canada, or possibly later in his life in Connecticut.

Condition: Good antique condition with some crazing to the canvas.
