One-of-a-kind statement wrist cuff hand-crafted by the artisans of Studio Greytak - Missoula Montana. A conceptual art project - John Greytak and his team of designers hand-pick and curate minerals and gems sourced from six continents. Creating unique jewelry, objects d'art and furniture. Expanding the intersection of nature and humanity through design.
This piece has a solid sterling silver frame and body. Which is embellished with hand-set semi precious stones in bezel settings. Key stones include -
Banded Agate:
Parallel, wavy ribbon layers of water deposited minerals created within rock cavities. Also known as Botswana agate or banded aragonite calcite.
Black Rutilated Quartz:
Triangular, kite-shaped with needle-like black tourmaline inclusions suspended within a transparent quartz crystal matrix.
Dendritic Opal:
Also called Merlinite. Cream-colored body with black moss-like dendritesof crystallized manganese.
Druzy Quartz:
Chalcedony agate border with shimmering center of thousands of tiny, microcrystalline quartz crystals.
Smoky Topaz:
Cut in a pear shape with a multi-faceted checkerboard top.
Super Seven Cabochon: Also known as or Melody stone or cacoxenite-in-included amethyst. Displaying characteristic purple hues and golden-yellow mineral needle inclusions.
Watermelon Tourmaline:
Bi-color tourmaline. Distinctive transition from a rosy pink shade to a forest green
Stamped mark on reverse reads "J P Greytak STERLING".
Overall measurements are 4.75" wide x 4" deep x 3" high.
Bracelet oval interior measures 2.58" wide x 2" deep with an 8" wrist circumference.
In excellent vintage condition. Solid sterling silver frame is structurally sound. Sterling silver bezels are sound and hold all stones securely. Sterling silver elements have not been polished and display minor tarnish residue with no pitting. All stones are in excellent condition with no scratches, chips, cracks, or issues of note.
Provenance - this piece was purchased by the current owner from a Montana Art Institution. Where it was originally donated by Studio Greytak for a fundraiser auction. It does not have any original paperwork, box, or storage pouch.
