Gorgeous Beidermeier antique secretary's chest. Has followed my family to several homes and we sadly no longer have a space for it. Measures approximately 50.75"w x 24"d x 38.25"t. The top drawer has a release that opens the piece to a pull out desk/set of storage drawers.
This piece is exquisite and has so much character and wonderful age to it. It's super versatile and has resided in a dining area, a bedroom and various family living areas. The hardware is original and the color is closest to the second image featured. The overhead lighting in the other images makes the finish appear a bit more saturated.
The back left leg (pictured) is loose and will need a simple tightening. There is also some slight discoloration from age on the right side and top as you can see in the pictures though it is minimal and a restorer could refinish if so desired.
This is an excellent heirloom piece and in great condition given it's age!
