This 1930s Bauhaus style armchair (Flechtsessel) has a wooden (beech) frame and is upholstered with cane. The German designer Erich Dieckmann (1896-1944) designed this chair in 1936. A striking detail is that at the back of the chair the cane is continued on the slat of the backrest. Likely, this is the original upholstery.
