An extraordinary antique Chinese jardinière and pedestal stand originating from Guangdong Province, featuring a magnificent combination of warm yellow, rich cobalt blue, and beautifully detailed mythical phoenix bird decoration.

This impressive two-piece planter showcases a substantial, wide-flaring circular bowl adorned with finely modeled Fenghuang phoenix birds, their outstretched wings and flowing forms rendered in contrasting shades of cobalt blue, ivory, and muted earth tones.

The richly glazed yellow body features decorative banding and an elegant flared rim finished in brilliant cobalt blue, creating a striking contrast that highlights the traditional artistry of Chinese glazed ceramics.

The coordinating pedestal stand features a deep cobalt blue glaze with raised decorative detailing, pierced ornamental openings, and a substantial circular base. Its sculptural form beautifully elevates the oversized bowl, creating an impressive architectural display.

The combination of vibrant glazes, mythical bird imagery, and monumental proportions reflects the decorative traditions of Guangdong Province and the rich heritage of Chinese ceramic craftsmanship.

Measuring an impressive 32 inches in diameter, this remarkable jardinière makes an exceptional statement piece for a grand entryway, conservatory, garden room, gallery, or sophisticated interior. It can be displayed as an ornamental planter or as a sculptural work of decorative art.

The planter and pedestal are two separate coordinating pieces.
