Antique Allertons Ltd Blue Willow Creamer and Sugar with Matching Lid
Made in Staffordshire England c. 1929-1942
Handled Creamer Pitcher Approx. 1 ¼" High x 13 ¾" Wide x 11 ⅛" Deep.
Double-Handled Sugar Bowl Base with Matching Lid Approx.
Charming, factory-matched vintage Creamer and Covered Sugar Bowl set in the timeless Blue Willow pattern, manufactured by Allertons Ltd in Staffordshire, England.
Both individual bases feature the exact same printed blue back stamp (featuring the stylized central 'A', laurel branches, "Est. 1831", and star graphic), confirming they were produced together during the 1929–1942 production window.
This duo features the iconic, richly detailed deep blue transferware scenes of traditional pagodas, bridges, and towering trees against a clean cream-white ceramic base.
Perfect for replacing missing pieces in an existing set or adding classic Chinoiserie style to your coffee station, hutch, or morning tea table.
Good used antique vintage condition. There are no structural cracks, chips, flea bites, or repairs on either piece. The blue transfer print remains sharp, dark, and highly vibrant. The outer glaze retains an excellent, shiny luster. The creamer is exceptionally clean with minimal to no visible glaze crazing. The inner rim of the sugar bowl base displays faint, linear micro-crazing lines. The sugar bowl lid features a more pronounced, dense spiderweb style of glaze crazing across its white surface. This is a normal cosmetic aging characteristic of 90-year-old Allertons pottery. The bottom of the creamer displays tiny glaze pinholes/stilt marks from its original factory firing, which is normal for antique ceramics. Normal wear from use and age.
