Circa 1840, these charming figures capture the naive folk-art character prized in early Staffordshire pottery, with hand-painted details and expressive faces. Examples in porcelain are increasingly scarce, particularly pairs retaining their delicate basket details. As with most early Staffordshire, there are no maker's marks.
