This kitchen cabinet has two sections - the top section has a solid frame with open lattice work on the front and on the sides. The open lattice is for better ventilation. The lower section is a closed cabinet for storing utensils. The cabinet was once covered with thick lacquer finishes but due to wear and tear, most of the lacquer finishes are gone.
The pictures show the top and bottom units separately. The lattice section fits on top of the lower closed door section to complete the cabinet.
This cabinet is made of Fir Wood. It is from Jiangsu. 19th Century.
