A well painted and colorful oil on canvas landscape painting by listed artist George Jensen, c.1930’s
Featuring an autumnal landscape, with a stream in the foreground. Vibrant orange and yellow fall trees, with small farm buildings behind a rustic fence. Framed an a classic carved and gilded frame. Signed lower right ‘Jensen’. Hanging wire on rear.
George Jensen was born in Port Clinton,Ohio in 1878, and was of Danish descent. He is best known for his Midwest and New England landscapes and seascapes. He passed away in 1977. I acquired this painting from the son of the original owners, who lived in Ohio.
