Stunning Large Mid-Century Murano Fazzoletto (Handkerchief) Art Glass Vase

Exceptional, museum-quality example of Italian mid-century modern design.

This large handkerchief-style vase is meticulously crafted using traditional Murano latticino and zanfirico glass-blowing techniques.

Features beautifully alternating twisted ribbons of soft pastel pink, delicate white lattice work filigree, and shimmering gold aventurine dust accents suspended within crystal-clear glass.

The vase is shaped into the iconic, dramatic fluid folds mimicking a draped handkerchief (fazzoletto). This monumental form requires immense physical skill to execute before the molten glass cools.

The underside showcases a masterfully executed, uniform tight spiral twist where the colored glass canes converge. The base features a completely flat, ground-down, and highly polished bottom with no pontil scar—a hallmark of premium, high-quality mid-century Murano glass houses like Venini and Fratelli Toso.

Excellent Vintage Condition. The glass remains beautifully vibrant and clear. There are no notable chips, cracks, fleabites along the delicate upper rim, or internal clouding/calcium lines.
