DESIGN: Unlike large vertical posters, lobby cards were printed horizontally on heavy stock paper or cardboard. The central photograph captures Hollywood icon James Dean as Jim Stark alongside Natalie Wood as Judy, especially poignant as both actors later died tragically. They are standing right outside the entrance doors of the Griffith Observatory planetarium in Los Angeles, a key location that serves as the backdrop for the film's climax.
