French Art Deco period Hygieia sculpture made of plaster and supported by a wood base. This bust is a reproduction of the 4th century BCE marble head of Hygieia. It is a faithful representation of the original found at the Temple of Athena Alea in Tegea. Hygieia is the Greek goddess of health. This piece is in very nice vintage condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
Base is 5” by 5”.
