Crafted in France circa 1930, each Louis XIV style chair is constructed of solid oak and features a tall, gracefully shaped upholstered back over a generously padded seat. The backs and seats are covered in richly woven floral tapestry upholstery in muted shades of gold, green, rust, rose, and blue, and finished with oversized hand-hammered brass nailhead trim that accentuates their elegant silhouette.

The sturdy oak frames stand on sculptural os-de-mouton (sheep-bone) legs joined by bold serpentine side stretchers and a classic H-form stretcher, hallmarks of Louis XIV and French Baroque-inspired furniture.
