Rendered on silk panel canvas, the artwork illustrates a solitary sparrow caught mid-flight alongside stalks of bamboo, painted in fluid monochromatic ink tones with crisp earth-toned plumage accents.

The lower right corner showcases the hand-brushed Gyokufu signature alongside the traditional red artist seal. The painting is framed within a beautiful silk-brocade inner fabric border and a dark wood outer molding.
