The classic palette utilizes soft blues, sage, and forest greens. The warm burnt-orange tail feather accent sets off the design painted on a crisp white porcelain ground. The rim is banded in blue and pale green, framed by a border of small clustered blossoms and leaves, finished with a gilt edge. The reverse bears the maker's mark in Japanese characters (伊萬里 / "Imari") alongside the printed backstamp "IMARI WARE, JAPAN." A lovely accent piece for display, a curio shelf, gallery wall arrangement, or as part of a chinoiserie/Japandi tablescape. In very good condition. See less
