A scarce and unusual Sterling Silver sugar and spice dusting spoon, attributed to R. Blackinton & Co., an American silversmithing firm founded in 1862 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, circa 1880-1910.
The barrel shaped sifting spoon is used for dusting toast, fruit or puddings with powdered sugar or cinnamon. Formed as a perforated scoop, this piece is entirely hand made.
Gold-washed interior. Light initialed engraving on the back of the bowl.

Marked Sterling on both the handle and the bowl.
In excellent condition with lightly polished patina. Multiple scoops are available, offered individually.
