An exceptional, complete 3-piece Victorian Aesthetic Movement silver-plated domed butter dish manufactured by Rogers, Smith & Co. during their historic … Read more An exceptional, complete 3-piece Victorian Aesthetic Movement silver-plated domed butter dish manufactured by Rogers, Smith & Co. during their historic New Haven period (1862–1877). Features highly detailed hand-etched hummingbird, bird, and floral reliefs along the dome and footed base. The interior remains in remarkably clean condition, completely intact with its original rare, pierced interior drainage liner disc. Base is fully hallmarked with the maker's stamp and pattern number 4946.

The server retains its original side knife rests designed to hold a master butter knife while serving. The knife rests are intact, although the original serving knife is not included. See less
