The crown of the column is heavily ornamented on three sides with finely carved architectural motifs:

A look at the underside reveals the undeniable hallmarks of authentic, bench-made 19th-century cabinetry (c. 1810–1840). The structural interior features a completely hollowed center core built with heavy, rough-sawn secondary support woods, hand-fitted corner stabilization blocks, and early oxidized fasteners. The integrity of this old-world construction ensures excellent structural stability and heavy load-bearing capacity.
